descriptionDescription

I am looking for a Director of Photography for my short film "Detik Permulaan," a gritty crime story set in Kuala Lumpur. Task Description: - Translate a raw, natural, and human visual style from the screenplay into compelling visuals, utilizing practical and low-light setups. - Collaborate closely with the director to achieve a specific aesthetic, drawing inspiration from films like "Man on Fire," "Bad Boys," and "Se7en." - Execute cinematography with strong contrast, deep shadows, and honest skin tones, focusing on emotional framing and realistic movement. - Deliver a visually impactful short film for online platforms, potentially incorporating specialized techniques like handheld camera work. Skills and Experience Required: - A keen eye for visual storytelling and an understanding of how to translate a screenplay into compelling visuals. - Proficiency in natural, grounded lighting techniques, including practical sources and low-light setups. - Experience in creating strong contrast, deep shadows, and achieving honest skin tones. - Ability to execute emotional framing, subtle movement, and potentially handheld camera work to maintain tension and realism.
