Task Description: - Develop a detailed plant layout simulation model including material flow, equipment, and worker interactions. - Evaluate the impact of proposed layout changes on efficiency, focusing on throughput rates and equipment utilization. - Create the layout from scratch within Siemens Plant Simulation, referencing provided examples and assignment questions. - Deliver a workable .spp file of the simulated layout for further analysis and evaluation. Skills and Experience Required: - Proficiency in Siemens Plant Simulation (Technomatix), ideally with the student version. - Strong understanding of plant layout design principles and material flow optimization. - Experience in creating detailed simulation models of manufacturing or production environments. - Ability to analyze simulation results to identify bottlenecks and propose improvements in efficiency.
