Description
I am looking for someone experienced with Aspen Plus and COMSOL Multiphysics to assist in developing and validating a simulation model for biodiesel production. The tasks include thermodynamic analysis, reaction kinetics simulation, 3D reactor modelling, result interpretation, developing a user-friendly application using the COMSOL Application Builder, and documentation support. The primary focus is to perform thermodynamic analysis of transesterification of triglycerides to biodiesel in Aspen Plus to obtain the best temperature and pressure, investigate the effect of key parameters like methanol-to-oil ratio, catalyst concentration, and mixing on biodiesel yield in COMSOL, and develop and analyze a reactor app where process parameters can be input to receive results such as graphs and fluid flow in the reactor. The ideal candidate should be able to independently design and execute the simulation work with minimal guidance. Key quality expectations include highly accurate and validated simulation results with robust app functionality, suitable for preliminary analysis. The necessary software licenses for Aspen Plus and COMSOL Multiphysics will be provided. Basic documentation covering key findings and application usage is expected. Knowledge of chemical reaction engineering and biodiesel processes is preferred.
