Hi! I’m looking for a reliable and caring bird sitter to look after my 9-month-old cockatiel for approximately 9 days while I’m travelling. She’s extremely friendly, tame, and doesn’t bite. She’s used to human interaction and enjoys spending time outside her cage. Preferred sitter: * Has prior experience caring for cockatiels or other pet birds. * Preferably works from home or spends most of the day at home. * Has a quiet home environment, preferably without noisy birds, as I don’t want her picking up loud calling habits. If you have birds that make soft cute singing noises, that’s okay ~~ * Comfortable allowing supervised, out-of-cage time daily. Daily care requirements: * Feed her 3 times a day (food and food bowl will be provided). * Replace drinking water with fresh water daily. * Replenish food as needed. * Allow her to roam freely in a safe, enclosed room under supervision. * Keep all windows and doors securely closed during out-of-cage time. She isn’t a strong flyer yet but can fly very very short distances. * Return her to her cage at night and let her sleep in a completely dark, quiet room. What I’ll provide: * Her cage * All food required for the 9 days I’m hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys birds and can provide a safe, comfortable, and loving environment while I’m away. :) Please share your experience with birds, and your home environment.
